I aced Spanish I and Spanish II, all the while complaining about the content and methodology of the instruction. I wanted to learn Spanish, not its grammar. Over the summer I focused on listening, reading and speaking Spanish. I didn't even bother with my textbook (which, in my defence, I'd lent to a friend taking summer classes)
I'm not doing well on the Quizzes, at least not for Spanish III. Not as well as I'd hoped.
We've had two quizzes.
I got an 87% and 76%.
The embarrassing part is that they were on REVIEW material from Spanish II. The only thing I can say for myself is I'm having a lousy start to this semester on all fronts. I'm sick, tired, lethargic and unfocused on both my classes. I'm doing homework, but not studying.
I have a quiz this afternoon on NEW material that I hope to get an A on, because this time, I'm studying...
