Hello World!

This is going to be my official lingo blog. I'm a language enthusiast who, currently speaks only one language (care to guess which one?) I've studied 5 languages on my own or with minimal assistance in the past six years or so: ASL, Arabic, Esperanto, French and Spanish but I want to learn at least eight languages, I have a bare minimum vocab and speaking ability in each of these languages and I'm preparing myself mentally to organize a better effort to master the basics of ASL and Esperanto and learn some beginners Spanish before New Year so that I can better prepare myself for learning more languages down the road.

The languages I want to learn are: American Sign Language, Arabic, Esperanto, French, Hawaiian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

Starting in Fall of this year I' hope to begin taking language courses at college. Even though this isn't how I prefer to learn them (I don't have an immediate preference) I plan to take:
French I&II, (2009-'10)
Spanish I&II, (2010-11)
***I hope to take a Year off between Jr. College and University***
Japanese I&II,(2012)
Arabic I&II, (2013)
Mandarin I&II (2015)

Hopefully I will be able to learn ASL and Esperanto on my own from some select resources online and available in my community. Other languages I'd like to learn are Wolof, Hawaiian, and Korean.

Anyway this is where I'll be writing about my methods, schedules, failure, and the occassional success.
